done with prom shopping though i exceeded my budget like almost twice. and i done my nails too! now i have pretty turqoise on my fingers and cool black on my toes. think its really not too bad! except the service could be much much better, and the colours are abit too glittery. haha. oh wells. i would say it was quite a bimbotic experience with chewps! :/

been drinking quite a bit the past few days and getting quite sick of the taste of alcohol now. its a good thing to put me off drinking! and i think retail therapy really helps! especially since daddy sponsored me today. :) shall try and forget all the unhappy stuff for now and look forward to more exciting stuff like driving tmrw and prom on wed! but so far we havent planned any post-prom yet so i'm afraid its gonna be quite boring too. sighhh.

looking for mahjong khakees anyone? or just ask me out before i die of boredom. post As isn't any more fun. :(

i'm back! to post some pictures before i go on another hiatus yet again! prelims are over, so far results have improved slightly since midyears (well at least i passed everything this time!) and its now time to turn into a full fledge mugger for the next two months or so before liberation day on 30th november 2009! :D

ON HIATUS!

just one year ago, i was still happily enjoying my time in cambridge! but now...

burn all those unhappy stuff thats been disturbing me all these while. i probably shouldnt even be bothering with all these since prelims is just about TWENTY DAYS away! and never had i been so unprepared before. argh, stupid jc life..

a typical day of jingwen's life now goes like this:
wake up, go school, have lessons, take time pracs, go home, have dinner, ~~study~~ finish up hmwk at the void deck, go home, pack bag, sleep.
note that the word study is being striked off cause basically i don't even have time to revise my work with all the neverending amount of work we need to prepare for lectures, tutorials, etc etc. BIG SIGH!

i need my A levels survival kit.

its already term 3 week 3, which means we're drawing closer & closer to prelims & A levels! and especially after getting back my not-so-pleasant midyear results, i have decided to practise more discipline and stay away from blogging & facebook-ing! maybe by then facebook wouldnt even be common anymore but nvm! i shall just bury myself under thick notes & books. :/

and yes yes, i'll leave everyone with this D.E i thought of last week! hahaha.

over the past two weeks i:
-survived 30 hours of famine!
-made new friends in famine camp
-studied at the airport & amk library & the void deck
-decided to abstain from coffee when mugging
-ate lots of durians in malaysia (and grew much fatter too)
-learnt how to make angkukueh hahaha
-watched the trail of the panda movie free-of-charge!
-passed my btt and one step closer to obtaining my driving license! :D
-had several weird & incoherent dreams
-tried to follow mdm tay's advice to study for 10hrs daily (but obviously i failed) -.-

kind of lost my momentum to study after camp & all, but i'm finally picking up again! :) now my life is like so routined this whole holidays.. waking up early in order to reach the library in time to get seats, staying there from morning to evening squeezing the many many information into my head until i can literally feel my head getting heavier! haha. and so much for studying so much, i still have quite alot to revise! only managed to finish maths & abit of chem, with 5 out of 6 huge chapters of geog untouched and all 16 chapters of physics. :O

man, i need a life! :(

off to bed to continue my routine tmrw!

whoo, its been a long long long time since i last updated i know, but thats the life of a jc student mah. haha. many many things have happened, such as the 25th anniversary concert, guitar farewell, etc etc. so fast and its the middle of the year already! now jingwen has become a full-time mugger and will be spending almost every day studying at the library or airport (and pray hard that i don't get h1n1)! haha. i'm quite proud of myself because i've been quite on task with my study plans for these few days, so hopefully i won't lose my momentum and can finish revising all the topics for mid years! thats excluding geog of course, because my geog is hopeless. haha. and i still need to study for my basic theory test for driving which is in less than two weeks. OMG. :/

on a lighter note, i'll be helping out at the 30 hour famine camp as a facilitator for tmrw and sat! no food for 30 hours leh! hope it'll be lots of fun though you'll probably hear my stomach growl for the whole 30 hours. :p and maybe just a quick advertisement for the event, A-mei will be performing for the closing at downtown east D'marquee on saturday night so do drop by if you're interested! :)

just two more days to syf. so its been a week of intensive practice everyday but somehow the practice just feels different from those back in st nicks. hmm.

not in the mood to study so for today, it's just gonna be me, my ipod and the com!

really, perhaps it's just me or something. i have no idea. i've been wondering just what went wrong, and why it can't be how it used to be anymore.

deleted my wishlist cause i reckoned all i really want for my birthday is not to satisfy my material needs. i just need to spend some quality time with my family & friends, to have great company around and take lots of nice photos so that i can keep them as fond memories. that will be enough, really.

bbq & chalet last night was really fun. i'm supposed to be happy, but i wonder why i'm not anymore. sigh, shall talk about it next time, probably when i'm in the right mood.

i can take ten times or even twenty times the effort to plan for something, but all it takes is just one hiccup along the way to make it fail. sometimes i really see no point in making plans anymore.

earlier this week, snsb went for its syf central judging where they did superbly well and got a GwH in the end! super proud of them cause they actually kept their promise to me two years ago! SNSB BRAVO! :D

then it was april fool's on wednesday. me & chewps stuffed wasabi inside the collon biscuit and eventually quite a few people got tricked into eating it! of which minghan & siewhui spat the thing out in the end. hahaha. then during guitar we went around clipping people's hair with post-its which says "I AM A VICTIM OF APRIL FOOL"! so it wasnt too bad i suppose. :)

anw, the nursery playmates finally met up yesterday and we had supper together plus chatted from 11pm to 5am this morning! it was really super fun talking abt everything and anything under the moon! though i only had two hours of sleep in the end and went to school for guitar + family day setting up. and i almost knocked out during tuition today hahaha.

to make up for the very little sleep i had / is going to have, i shall go to sleep right after this! hahaha. hopefully tmrw will be a fun day man! :D

back from nyaa camp! and so i managed to survive without my phone for two days! hmm, tried rock climbing & high emelents on the first day, plus adventure race ytd which includes running from bedok to tampines to pasir ris, kayaking and all kinds of activities! so i ended up with sunburn on my face + muscle ache all over today. hahaha. of course, gossiping is inevitable when you put all the girls in one bunk. and the gossiping carried over till today when the group had breakfast tgt at macs after camp! :)

its the term break omg! doesnt even feel like it though. except there's many people away for camps & overseas trips now! yanzhu's in malaysia and lingli's in indonesia. i wanna go overseas too! sigh.. and for the rest of the week, there's maths lecture & fencing tmrw, followed by guitar on wed, fri & sat..

wahh. havent updated for almost two weeks and this blog is stagnating already. lol. anw, chinese new year holidays came and gone. there's been a series of cny celebrations like aj's cny concert; reunion dinnerS; visiting and more visiting; overnight mahjong; 0308 lao yu sheng and steamboat at chewps' house. angpow collection has been great, collected slightly more than last year despite the recession! anw this year is not the year for mahjong, i should switch to blackjack instead. haha.

sigh. going back to school sucks. it basically just revolves around lectures, tutorials, guitar, PE and nothing else. syf practices are gonna intensify = less time to rest! and did i mention that aj pe is seriously out to kill. a typical lesson is like 2 rounds as warm up, conditioning and 6 rounds jog to train for napfa. last week, it was quite a funny sight to see almost everyone struggling to go down the stairs one day after pe. :/

oh wells. j1s came in since monday, but aj's orientation is only starting next week. so its gonna be yet another busy week for me. hopefully i get nice juniors in my og!! :)

earlier on monday it was our PD tutor's birthday so we bought him a cake to celebrate (and skip civics at the same time). then guitar auditions commenced on wed but they couldnt finish so its postponed to next wed instead, and that also means i still got to practise during cny! plus so many tutorials to do, i should probably spend chu er at home doing hmwk. :/ luckily geog test was manageable cause what i studied came out! but then again, for geog especially, manageable doesnt necessarily mean scoring well. haha.

amanda's birthday ytd! though my surprise kind of failed, at least we got her the germany num top (and saw chewps' love there LOL)! then the 8 of us had steamboat at amk. after dinner sy and helen left and the remaining 6 had breezer at the playground. plus a bottle of hoegaarden after i got home. :)

today was a half day of lessons + cny concert. then amanda, chewps & i went tanning for abt 2 hours, only to get my face RED and my body not any tanner. my face probably looks like one mandarin orange alr. :( then i finally went to chop off my burnt fringe so now my hair is finally back to normal! :)

friday nights are emo nights, cause you look back on what you did in school, and what you failed to do. well, sometimes i think i make the worst friend ever.

sorry for the lack of updates on this blog. its been a busy week since school reopened, or rather, already a busy week although school just started, and that explains why i'm not longer coming online as often, cause my nights are always spent completing the never-ending tutorials. :(

anw Os results were out on monday as well, and seeing st nicks do so well makes me feel both happy and stupid. and my friend, who shall not be named, just found out that she got leukemia one day before she received her Os results. whats the use even though she did well. i really really feel damn sad for her, but i cant do anything to relieve her pain. boy, kimo really scares me. i just hope she can recover soon. life is so fragile isnt it. :(

on a lighter note, jiaying, chewps & i went for simin's M18 bbq yesterday! i'd hate to sound like some alcoholic, but the absolute peach & mango were really the highlights of the night because we had so much fun playing all the silly games and laughing at chewps take each sip with her disgusted face. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMIN btw! :D

well, i'm kind of looking forward to chinese new year! because i've been craving for steamboat since last month and i'll finally get to eat it on reunion night! coupled with lots of angpows so i can finally buy the stuffs i need. haha. but then again, the festive spirit seems to be diminishing over time. maybe its recession and they have to cut costs so they arent putting up enough decorations to make it feel like cny? just like how they dont give us money to decorate our notice boards anymore. or maybe its just me, because one of the many disadvantages of growing up is that it makes you more dissatisfied with things. :/

well ogl training commenced today, spending twelve hours in school was definitely tiring, but fun to a certain extent because my fellow ogls are actually quite a nice funny bunch of people! and it kind of brought back some fond memories last year at veejay. the mass dances and all. :)

of course, i will never ever forget all my dear girl-friends from st nicks. even though the time spent with them have decreased almost exponentially, each and every gathering still brought about lots of fun & laughter. :)

then it was one year spent with my dearest class 0308! though i am probably still quite distant with some of them, i hope that our class will be more bonded this year. 24 people it will remain. :)

last but not least, cambridge trip was definitely one that made me learn many things, and also motivated me to work hard so that i can go back there to study next year. collating these photos really made me miss that place alot alot, and most importantly, i realise I MISS MY LONG HAIR. -.-

reading some blogs that made me feel a teeny weeny bit sad about how things always end up wrong. well 2009 started quite well for me and i really hope it stays this way. may all the unpleasant stuff stay away from me. i need to learn to let go.

on 2nd jan 2008, i reported to vj as a freshman and found myself in Cyrus Constantine.
on 2nd jan 2009, i received a call as an OGL and find myself going to be in Centaurus.
LOL. two full days ogl training on monday and tuesday. i really mean FULL DAYS since we're gonna end at night! and i seriously hope it wont be too draining cause i still got to do my hmwk.. :/

anyway, the left side of my wardrobe is now filled with my new clothes and thats like 9 tops, 4 bottoms, 2 skirts and 1 cardigan. OMG. feeling super guilty, but i'm still pleased with my buy today - a top from topshop that i've been eyeing since a week ago and i finally bought it! the most expensive piece so far but i guess its worth the money.. :) & i realise that i have been out shopping everyday ever since the new year started, which isnt exactly a good thing because i'm spending way too much! the first two days were shopping with chewps, and somehow i feel she's a changed person ever since the clock struck twelve on new year's day? she's suddenly shopping for clothes at zara & fox and not topman anymore! LOL. :p

okay awjingwen, sales & chinese new year are no longer valid reasons to shop. im so gonna put uhu glue on my shorts so that i wont leave the house and be tempted to buy somemore! :/

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ONE AND ALL! :D

the first post of 2009! and its probably gonna be a super duper long post! heh heh.

shall start off with my new year resolutions which takes effect from today! not in any order though, so here goes:

#1 bitch less, learn more - im definitely not a bitch, but i think i am quite guilty of this. well this time i will try to keep my mouth shut and cut down on the bitching sessions!

#2 be a filial daughter - spend more time with my parents, and grandma as well! appreciate the things that they do and be nice to them :)

#3 help with the housework - help my mummy do some housework on weekends! cause i reckon i'll probably be too shagged on weekdays to help out. but its good enough okay :p

#4 less shopping sprees - impulsive shopping especially, cause i end up not wearing what i buy and its a total waste of money :/

#5 clear / collect my debts - better rmbr who owe me money so that i wont be broke anymore (this goes out especially to someone with the initials GCP)

#6 swim at least once ~~weekly~~ fortnightly - for practical reasons, i know i am surely not that diligent to drag myself to a pool every week. how i wish i had a swimming pool just downstairs! but ah, i shall not complain haha

#7 no empty promises / don't pangseh - not gonna stretch my limits and play the nice girl anymore, cannot means cannot! & i know how sucky it feels to be pangseh-ed, especially at the very last minute so i won't do it unless its really emergency!

#8 be punctual - i'm actually pretty punctual for school, but i'll try not to be more than 15 minutes late if it comes to other appointments heh

#9 make new friends, guys & girls alike - probably shuai-ges too! hahaha

#10 appreciate my wonderful friends - i'm gonna cherish all the great friendships i had so far and make time for my friends if they ever need me because they really rock :)

#11 plan my time better - very important for a busy year ahead! but of course, life for me will not only revolve around studying

#12 pack my room once a month - at the rate that i'm messing up the tables, i should be packing my room everyday but i'm just too lazy and monthly sounds more practical :p

#13 pick up a new language - preferably german or korean so i can go to those countries after As!

#14 learn driving - if i am allowed i will and hopefully i can pass! :)

#15 get at least six hours of sleep everyday - i dont wanna look like a living zombie or a panda with eyes that really look like o.O

#16 get over the things that makes me miserable - take things easy and learn to let go at the right time

#17 take good care of myself - fall sick less because it sucks to be sick and i probably can't afford to be either

#18 study hard for As - complete all tutorials, study for all tests, do whatever i can to get my aces! :D

18 resolutions for an eighteen-year-old-to-be, i guess thats pretty much enough cause i doubt i can keep to them for one whole year anyway. haha. we'll wait and see.

anyway, received the new year at vivocity at the channel 8 countdown party with chewps, amanda, yinshuen & helen! mandice was supposed to go but she's sick. :( hmm we had one round of mahjong at chewps house first before we went down to vivo. the queue was crazily long, and we actually thought of giving up and just go home to watch it on tv, but luckily we managed to get in without queueing because we had tickets! so we were there for about an hour or so before we went back to chewps house for another round of mahjong till this morning! no pictures yet because my camera refuse to co-operate and the pictures are disappearing! seriously, idk why. hopefully the pictures will still be around after i send it for repair! :/
did a little bit of shopping at town after a short nap at chewps place. AND YES I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I HAVENT BROKEN #4 ALTHOUGH I WAS SO TEMPTED TO BUT I DIDNT BUY ANYTHING TODAY! :D

okay, sometimes i think i really need to salute chewps for her kiasu-ness. for its that very KSness that made it possible for me to do things i probably wouldnt dare do if not for her. just take the countdown for example, all the cutting queues and squeezing through the crowds entitled us the chance to stand at the first row of seats during the countdown. haha. and there's probably much more encounters which i will not go into details here because it isnt exactly very glamorous. haha. but friends like these can really spice up your life. :)

so 2008 wasnt exactly a fantastic year for me but i guess its still good enough to get by. idk whether its because i have grown up and i am expecting more, but life is and can no longer be as smooth-sailing as it used to be. perhaps its time we break out from our sheltered lives and experience all the ups & downs of life. take my college life for example, i didnt really have much of a choice for a sudden change of environment from vj to aj, but eventually after all the complaints and disappointments, aj's actually not bad too. and cambridge was a real eye-opener too. i lost some friends, but i established new friendships too. so i've grown to realise that when one door closes, another will open, and as long as i believe, i shall never lose my way. :)

i guess i can never express it in words, but i'm really thankful for my family and friends that i am able to pull through and be who i am today. do continue to be there! :)

chicken house + icekimo ytd with the usual group, i rmbr its the place where enghwee first taught me how to play bridge, so there we were one year later, still playing bridge at the very same tables. :) then we went to j8 and walked around for a short while. hmm, amanda's right, long bus rides are really good for emo-ing, so i took a long bus ride before i went home!

with all the sales everywhere, queues can be found everywhere too.. queue for the fitting room, queue for the cashier and even queue for the toilet! went to town today and this was exactly what happened. nevertheless, i bought a pair of top & bottoms at mango and got some other random stuff too! retail therapy sure works. though it didnt help make my sorethroat feel better, it did make me feel slightly better, and probably made my pocket slightly lighter as well. :/

one of my new year resolutions is to cut down on shopping sprees, so just before twenty-oh-nine comes in just a few days, i better grab this chance to go shop more! besides, i doubt i'll have time to shop next year too. sigh. growing up sucks.

nvm, new year resolutions will be up in a few days' time. :)

the day started out super bad today. idk whether to credit it to the two hours of sleep i had. i was late for an hour because of a stupid traffic jam, and i misplaced all my presents on the bus because i was too irritated. i almost broke down in the middle of town today because everything just doesnt seem to be working out. but im so glad i have friends that made me feel better. caught Australia with three quarters of CC today, its a pretty sweet movie so do catch it if you dont mind sitting in the cinema for three hours long.

down with gastric flu a few days back so i couldn't eat all the nice food people get to eat for christmas, and grandma had a fall so i got to stay at home to take care of her. idk why but christmas this year seems like an exceptionally awful one. perhaps i wasnt good enough so santa doesnt like me anymore. :( :( :(

lunched and shopped around for christmas presents with jessie before i went to work again. work was getting boring but i got a really pleasant surprise during dinner time. and it really made my day! :D

tuesday

the day i met up with all my favourite people! had breakfast with simin enid & jiaying and we were cracking our brains trying to rmbr alot of people's names. haha. i cant wait for Australia with them next week! i meant the movie, not the country. :)

then i caught The Day The Earth Stood Still with matthew. its such a typical alien movie? haha then we looked for the birthday boy at heerens! forgot to take photos though. cause i suppose guys dont camwhore like girls lah. haha.

wednesday
for the first time i finally got to work the same shift as yinshuen! but suay or what, ever since mel left, i took over her bad luck and now its my turn to get cut. THREE PAPER CUTS IN ONE DAY, then my right thumb & index fingers were all wrapped up and i have difficulty wearing and removing my contacts. haha.

THEN OVERNIGHT BAKING WITH ADEL = FUN FUN FUN :D

okay actually we "play cheat" cause we got ready made croissants and all we had to do was just to coat them with chocolates. but it wasnt easy either, especially when we tried to coat it with two different colours instead of just one.

looks good right? but it was super duper sweet cause of the white choc. :/

sorry for the lack of pictures because by this time, my camera died on me and it was already 4am in the morning so i didnt have much energy to record the process anymore. haha. anw this is definitely not the black carrot cake you see in food courts, its made with walnuts, carrots and cinnamon. mommy loves this! :D

so that basically sums up my first overnight baking experience. seriously exhausting, but really very fun. more to come i hope! finished everything at about 7plus in the morning. i slept for like two hours today. then i went for a haircut! and so much for being my aunt's guinea pig, i now have burnt fringe which looks horrible. :/

fourth day at tangs today, and its definitely the busiest day so far. stood there wrapping gifts non-stop for eight hours cause the queue's never-ending, and i had to give up my lunch break in the end. but i saw many people today, and simin dropped by to visit me at work! haha if you might be interested, a typical work day goes somewhat like this:

alighting at the bus stop right in front of tangs
entering the mall through the staff entrance (seemed cool initially, but not anymore)
depositing my bag at the security checkpoint & signing in for my shift
stationing myself at the level 3 counter
listening to the same christmas songs (they play my favourite song once in a while!)
collecting my daily allowance of S$5 (which is barely enough for a meal in town!)
visiting the tangs marketplace during our lunch / dinner break
playing bingo / sharing lame jokes when we're bored
looking at the different boxers that we're surrounded with
getting cuts from papers and penknives & all sticky with double-sided tape :(
cleaning up the area 1m all around after each gift
waiting for time to crawl by so we can pack up and go!
returning to the checkpoint to collect our bags
crossing the underpass then HOME SWEET HOME!

doesnt sound too interesting isnt it. probably the only reward is having nice people appreciating your gift wrap (though its not exactly that fabulous) and having the chance to wrap gifts for celebrities. oh wells. :)

oh yes, attended nssn with the section last night. to think that last year this time i was actually part of the band. so i actually know many people for one full year already! HOW TIME FLIES, seriously! haha. anw it was mr tan's last concert with them so they had some farewell thing and all. sweet. but i think the end of the skit was the sweetest. aww haha.

haha decided to take down the hmwk post because its becoming an eye sore.
went for my first gift wrapping session at tangs ytd and i'm stationed at level three (beside the men's boxers section LOL)! stood there for six hours listening to the same few christmas songs playing over and over again and "looking busy" while waiting for the customers to give us some presents to wrap. haha. but luckily the presents ytd were relatively easy and it wasnt that busy yet. finished work at ten. ahh, more to come for the next few weeks and i'm pretty scared i'll screw up and get a complaint. but oh wells, its for a good cause afterall! :)

slept at four am this morning because stupid chewps and i were on the phone talking about random stuff and we ended up talking for 190 minutes. until i had a bad sorethroat lah. lol. then i had my usual eight hours of sleep which meant i woke up only at twelve! heh heh. then went to town again to meet jiaying to shop around for presents. i want to complain lah, the stupid underpass is under renovation and it takes forever to get from tangs to the mrt. no wonder more people are jay-walking. tsktsk. oh! and i saw this harry potter cluedo at taka basement, i was so tempted to buy it but i actually doubt i'll play it leh. sigh.

its such a chilly day today and my family survived the day without even switching on the fans! & i'm awake for less than eight hours but i'm feeling sleepy already. aiyoh, must be the weather, how nice & cosy to tuck into bed and rest. haha. more gift wrapping tmrw! :)

back from genting! in fact i was back for a few days alr, but just too lazy to update. haha. it was quite boring cause im still not old enough to enter the casino, which might actually be a good thing cause apparently my grandma lost ALOT OF MONEY in that two nights. :( oh wells, it was still quite fun nevertheless cause i had the company of the two little kids above. bringing them around the theme parks taking merry-go-rounds was tiring but they're really a lovely bunch when they don't fight and cry! haha. :)

i didnt really get to shop much this trip and i wanna go malaysia again and shop somemore! anyone anyone? :D

anw, went to chewps' house for tuition ytd, before i went to meet amanda mandice & yinshuen at macs. tried to study a little but we ended up talking & laughing more and i was seriously too shagged from the mere four hours of sleep the day before so i gave up and went home early to sleep. haha.

ooh and here's the cookie i baked last week! (i forgot to turn it around haha) :)

off to tangs @ orchard to ~~work~~ volunteer. i'll be there wrapping presents on all the odd numbered days so you can come visit me if you want, or better still, buy something and i'll wrap it for you! hahaha. :)

retail therapy! went bugis with my cousin ytd. bought a blouse, skirt and a pair of flats! plus i bought another dress today. though idk when i'll actually wear it. haha. i guess retail therapy kind of works! much more effective than spending the money talking to a psychiatrist. and minus that sense of guilt that results from spending so much. :p

hmm i baked chocolate chip cookies ytd! and mandice & yinshuen are the only two people that got to try my cookies today, other than my family, cause the other gatherings were all cancelled. studied at macs with the both of them and i managed to do a little bit of maclaurin's. its super tedious lah. sigh. but it does help a little to know that i'm one step closer to completing my hmwk. haha.

oh and being the nice & doting sister, i brought my two sisters to watch madagascar 2 today tgt with mandice! its a really sweet show actually, though i think i spent more time taking care of the two of them instead of enjoying the show. haha. kids are such a handful to deal with, but i still love them. :D

going to my cousin's house to stayover tmrw before i leave for my annual trip to genting the day after! amazingly, i only spent arnd half an hour packing my luggage. haha. i'll be back soon! and even though its just for a few days, i'll try and use this chance to forget everything that i should and let go of what i promised to since a few months ago, cause there's no pointing holding on anymore. i really hope it works this time round. :)

like what i said, many things happened last week. firstly, had guitar camp and the attendance was pathetic, but the exco probably tried their best and worked quite hard to make it good so yup, i guess it was still quite fun overall, minus the boring parts!
then one of my uncles suddenly passed on due to infection and it was kind of sad everytime i see everyone looking so dampened and depressed. oh wells. life is unpredictable, seriously.

and then we had tangs training on mon & tues this week. wasnt much of a training anyway, just went there and make gift bags and boxes. then tues i visited the pasar malam with the girls! its been quite a while since i've been to one, and we bought lots of food to share. :D then ytd, kenneth gave chewps tuition for like almost five hours and i sat in all the way! at least i managed to get my electricity tutorial done. then i went for piano. now there's another recital coming up and that just simply imply that i'll need to practise more again. :/

today! had guitar in the morning but stupid chewps overslept. AGAIN. so went to the sitex fair after that and i bought a thumbdrive and a silver ipod nano! but im kind of regretting it now lah. feel like selling it away and get an ipod touch instead. any buyers? hahaha. then i went to far east to shop with the guys and that sums up my day!

more shopping tmrw and i'll be off for genting pretty soon! well its not exactly a fanciful place to go to, but at least i'm getting out of the country? :)

btw, went swimming with chewps this morning and we decided to tan ourselves for a little while. fifteen minutes only, and now the tanline on my back is SUPER OBVIOUS. its super red and ouch, it hurts alot. okay loser, yes i know. :/

then went to the airport in the evening to send my cousin off to korea. band exchange as well. not fair, why is it everyone gets to go on a band exchange except me. oh wells. and interestingly, it appears that i'm always going to the east side for different reasons every sunday, for three weeks already and counting. haha.

& i am a happy girl cause i more of less managed to do three out of the five things that i wanted to do in my last entry! here goes:

mommy probably heard me whining, so she took leave to help me revamp my room and we painted the room tgt! basically she just poured the paint for me, and i had to paint the entire room myself, twice, until my arms ached like mad the next day. it wasnt a lot, but i'd say we did spend some quality time tgt. :)
i wanna meet up with my friends but they seem to be busy with so many other things and we cant seem to find a perfect time. (i wonder, why arent i occupied like the rest?)
met up with some of the nssn people ytd when we had dinner at pastamania and then attended amanda's band concert. her solo was damn good. :) then spent a long time waiting for some dumb express bus with jiaying but luckily i was home within an hour.
i wanna go shop and play and do everything that i want but i dont have enough cash, unless i can find someone who is generous enough to sponsor me? lol.

two days ago, i went ahead to repaint my room with my favourite - green! and then i had a major makeover for my room today. its quite amazing actually, i didnt know i was strong enough to move all the bookshelves, wardrobe and study table BY MYSELF! but its super duper tiring i must say. haha i love the way my room looks now but its still in a mess so this will give me something to do for the next two days! :) "

haha so it kind of summed up what i did for the past few days. oh not forgetting peer tutoring which finally ended (i didnt even teach much for the last two days haha). then i had piano today, another performance coming up but i'm very very reluctant to play. ah wells. and tuition is super boring, especially since i havent touched primary school work for years. yesterday was the last day of lectures for us! so technically speaking i wont be seeing most of my classmates until the third week of january next year. and we didnt even plan any gathering during the holiday. sigh. but anyway i still have peer tutoring today and tmrw, which is quite meaningless cause mandice and i were assigned to a new class with other tutors and nobody had questions for us so we just sat there with yinshuen for three hours and did our own work. haha. and then there'll be guitar practices for the upcoming syf but i think i lost touch already since i havent been playing it for quite some time. haha.

went to the airport for popeyes chicken as well as to study with chewpin and amanda, but i wasted like more than three hours travelling to and fro the airport which made it an unproductive day. :(

but, saw a few st nicks juniors and vj seniors mugging there as well! like weeho and matthew, who came to share the table with us for a short while. hahaha. it'd be rare to see j1s studying now, but i dont care. i'm turning on mugger mode till the rest of this month so i can enjoy my dec holidays in peace! hehe. :)

went to buy a new pair of goggles today. i'm seriously investing a lot on swimming now. chewpin too. spent like more than a hundred bucks alr.. wahahaha. swimming tmrw with yanzhu. :)

met up and had delifrance for lunch before the tangs selection. gosh, its definitely not easy trying to wrap gifts, especially those that are of weird shapes and sizes. but i guess i did pick up a good skill today, and i shall apply it for my christmas gifts if i can still rmbr how to wrap properly when the time comes. haha.

then we headed to the padang for the health campaign! i dont mean to sound so auntie but we actually got a free movie ticket and a free yoshinoya bento set! plus half a dozen of mineral water for chewps which she happily koped. lol. i think she's the happiest because of her great haul, plus she got to take photo with nat ho!

it was scorching hot so we decided to go into raffles city for a drink and walk around. then we sat down at this random corner and started our usual gossiping session until suddenly, we realised that nat ho just entered some shop so we went up to take photo with him again! i'm not exactly his fan, but i think he's really very nice and polite. and he actually know my name without me telling him, probably because of that big fat sticker i pasted on my camera. hahaha.

from this we can see, there are some things that money can't possibly buy. just like luck. and probably, friendship as well. i believe friendships should be built with a strong foundation, otherwise one wrong move and it'll topple, just like the uno stacko. and in this game i already lost quite a few rounds, i can't afford to lose anymore.

okay i shant say more. back to my story, then we tried to take a short route home but we met up with a roadblock (wrong bus stop) so we had to walk back and take the long route instead. finally, mandice, chewps and i found our way and then it was home sweet home!

aiyo its like three days after OP but i can't help but still relate my everyday life to our projects. oh wells. post-PW syndrome i call it. :/

caught high school musical 3 on thursday, somehow i didnt really enjoy the movie (as much as i SHOULD have) but nevertheless, we feasted quite a bit inside the cinema - nachos, wedges, popcorn and drinks. then went back to st nicks for practice with yanzhu, and then dinner with amanda at j8. that girl made me wait for her for an hour while she was k-boxing. so i went to fairprice to grab some baking stuff, and made cheesecake after i got home. BUT, i forgot to buy butter. :/ sy says its akin to going out without a shirt (tsk tsk horny), but i still went ahead with the cheesecake. brought it to school the next day, it looked like quite an ugly mess, but chenghan still devoured it all.

halloween yesterday. started off quite well cause daddy came home! after that i rushed to school to try out our op (apparently everyone was slacking in the classroom), followed by lunch at KFC with part of the class. camwhored a little there, then went to amk hub and i finally bought my converse shoes! but i'm thinking of giving it away already cause i decided i dont really like the colour. tsk tsk what a waste of money. :/

daddy's in hospital since sunday night,
and i only got to know about it on monday morning after he came out of the op.
tell me, am i the lousiest daughter or what. :(

but fortunately he's feeling much better already, i brought him for a walk around the hospital today, and i think he should be getting discharged tmrw! thanks to him, i finally learnt how to walk to ttsh from novena mrt. i used to think its a long walk, but its actually very simple, just follow the signs and i found the hospital quite quickly. haha.

AMANDAs - the two new psp addicts in our class

on a lighter note, we had korean lunch plus andersen's cheesecake and icecream on tuesday. then amanda, szeyun, mandice and me, the four of us had a super long but engaging "sharing session"!

went back for st nicks combined on thurs. thought i'd be turning rusty after not practising for more than half a year! but at least i could still play the warm ups and sight read jericho. :)

finally had a proper workout yesterday, played badminton for two hours at kbcc! but the main purpose of burning fats was defeated when we went to thomson plaza for lunch and icekimo for more icecream! durian waffle + banana split = sinful indulgence but who cares, wahahaha.

whoo, once again its time to update everyone about my boring life. but all my paragraphs will most probably make no links because im too lazy to piece together my thoughts. haha. :/

guitar seems to be getting more fun now that i'm in section 3, we learnt tabs on monday and tried our syf piece on wed. but i'm having A LITTLE BIT of problem trying to change in time for the chords. haha.

i tried the aj gym for the first time on tues. somehow i feel the equipments are more guys-friendly, or probably im just too noob to figure how to utilise those equipments. lol. and so that one hour of workout caused my body to ache for quite a few days. shit man, i better start training if not i'll just die when pe gets intensive next year. sigh..

so granny went overseas on tues, and because mummy can't cook for nuts, i'm supposed to take over the job but i'm too lazy, so i always end up dapao-ing or making mummy eat cup noodles with me. hahaha. think i'm spending way too much on luxurious (unhealthy) food such as medium rare ribeye steak at jack's place yesterday. oohlala. :)

back to st nicks for two days consecutively! thurs was to meet potato abt the genting trip and to visit the band, fri was to practise the pieces and to help out for the alumni camp. the camp really triggered lots of nice memories. the bimboness, the ruggedness, the unglamness, the togetherness, the noisiness. being from st nicks just makes us so distinctive and special. :) but things are so different now. sigh. its a pity i couldnt make it back for the sing-along tonight because of pw.

speaking of pw, it is seriously driving me nuts. tuesday's the deadline for wr but mr lee says that our group's standard is moving in the wrong direction. oh wells. plus, there's still op which we need to work on. and i&r first draft is due on monday but i have barely started writing it. which brings me to the next point that some people are really super hypocritical and can "open eyes and say blind words". oh wells. 3 more weeks before its all over! :)

heh. i cant really recall what i did specifically for the past week. i only rmbr visiting jack's place and hans and sakae and orange bowl and prata house and dimsum stall and icekimo and oldchangekee and eating all kinds of expensive + sinful food which accumulated more fats. im not trying to be a loser and count the calories, but i wish the amount of fats in my body could be converted into more money. lol wishful thinking.

got back papers on thurs, but its not the final results yet so we shall see what moderation can do. to anyone and everyone who's feeling sad over results, please CHEER UP! because in life, there's many more things to look forward to other than studying. :)

sneaked in to vj in the morning to hand some stuff to my ogls and some band people. i clumsily broke the bottle before i could hand it to my ogl. ah wells. then cabbed down to castle beach for the CDP thingy and we had to build sandcastles there! our class was supposed to build a theme on food and we tried to build a burger, drink and fries which most probably didnt look very much like what we usually eat. lol. then chewps, adam & i went to parkway for dinner before meeting up with the rest at bugis for icecream! :)

friday
pw workshop again. we had our first op rehearsal with the adjudicator today. it was freaky! cause i didnt even bother making any speech and it was impromptu all the way. then we went to chewps house for a movie marathon! but bad choice of movie, i gave up on the horror flick halfway because it was not scary at all and the movie made no sense. and i had to type out my pw speech while watching the movie. :s after that a few of us went to prata house + icekimo (the usual) and pigged out somemore! gosh, i think i gained like ten pounds today. hahaha.

sigh. the days are like totally packed with pw and more pw. no life one lah. im reaching home super late everyday, and im spending a lot a lot of money! like an average on fifty bucks each day, and im super duper broke now! :( i should probably figure how to spend my time more meaningfully. maybe i should go and volunteer. or start mugging for next year as suggested by kaikeng. haha. :)

wheeeeee. PROMOS FINALLY ENDED!!!
went for class lunch at sumohouse yesterday, then szeyun, yinshuen, amanda and i went kboxing for 5 hours straight! heh it was actually my first time kboxing and i felt like a mountain tortoise initially but it was still fun because we sang many many many songs and we enjoyed sabotaging the group next door as well. haha.

actually, i'm kind of still in a state of shock and disbelief that it already ended! to think i spent one entire week at the library everyday, drank more than 10 cups of coffee, spent more than 100bucks at galilee cafe, sent many mms to seek help whenever we couldnt solve our maths questions, etc. come to think of it, the process was kind of tedious but fun nevertheless! :)
oh yes, kahsiong and kaikeng came down to aj last week and kaikeng gave me a five hours crash course for physics. i really hope i can at least pass physics this time round! but for now, i shall just concentrate on enjoying myself before we get back our results on the 9th. :/

suddenly got lots of time on hand, and idk what to do first! wanted to make a video just now but i realised i dont have enough photos. and this simply means its time for more CAM-WHORING!! yayy. :)

i wont say much for gp, but geog was a total mess and im not exactly hopeful for maths either. blame myself for my poor allocation of time. shouldnt have spent so much time for geog when im not even likely to pass. and now i cant even finish studying for chem and physics.
sigh. two papers left but i am losing my concentration already. plus the serious lack of sleep is turning me into a sickly panda. i seriously cant wait for all these to be over. :(

i know i'm probably too old for this, but if i could still make a children's day wish in advance, it would be for all 24 of us to be promoted altogether, and not a single one left behind, otherwise the puzzle would be incomplete forever.

oh! after 6 long years of long hair, i chopped off my ponytail! dropped by kimage after the smrt challenge and i randomly decided to change my hairstyle! yes, it was a super sudden decision! & its probably the most expensive haircut i had so far, but its worth every cent cause i chopped off more than half of my hair! and the massage was good! lol. i think i look a little weird now cause everyone's still not accustomed to it, but get used to it! haha. and so, a new hairstyle shall mean a brand new beginning to everything! forget, forget, forget! i'll try.

oh yes, yanzhu, jiaying & i will be going to genting together at the end of the year, whether or not we join the competition. first yanzhu went to US, then tanjia went to australia, and i went to uk. now we can finally all go on the same trip! YAY THIS IS SO EXCITING!! :D

seems like i mia-ed for quite some time since the last entry! back in singapore since last tues but i havent really got time to update cause i've been trying to catch up with studies & i'm like lagging behind the rest by one whole lap! i have to go back for make ups practically every day next week so it isnt exactly a break for me. sigh, its so tiring and i'm super duper unprepared for promos. :(
plus, piano exam is in exactly two weeks' time and i just changed one piece last week! unless a miracle happens, i think i'm so going to fail. :(

okay im actually feeling quite lazy to blog right now, but shall do so for the sake of updating my parents and friends! went to the museum ytd, followed by the research institute today, and i must admit i didnt really enjoy myself that much, except during the free time where we had the chance to walk around the town. bought a few presents already, but many more to go! and i finally bought a new wallet! YAY.

but accidents always happen. we misheard the time to gather so we continued shopping until we missed the bus to go back to college and had to take a cab back instead. gosh, the meter jumps just like the singapore taxi, but that would mean it costs 3 times as much! haha.

attended a lit lecture after dinner and i couldnt comprehend what the lecturer was trying to say. THOU IS STUPID, probably. hahaha.

the day started off quite badly because i screwed up my spa quite badly, blame myself for not reading instructions carefully i guess. but i wasnt really that bothered, until i found out that my ipod shuffle went missing. like wtf, its already my second time losing my valuables in the school lah. i probably only lost my waterbottle in st nicks last time. :/

but thank god for nice friends eventually managed to cheer me up! :)
then daddy came to fetch us for the interview at bukit merah central, and the room was packed with students from other schools as well! and thats where i saw vanessa! interview lasted for slightly more than an hour, but it wasnt exactly fruitful because we kind of interviewed the wrong person. hahaha.

my favourite granduncle just passed away on wednesday night due to some viral attack. and 20 hours was all it took to take his life. super sudden! cliché it may sound, but life is really so unpredictable. hai. RIP. :(

2nd national band competition today. st nicks was second to play, after anglican, so we had to be at vch rather early. otherwise i'd most probably still be sleeping in bed at that time! hahaha. they played under the double eagle & hannukah! after the interval sean, sushuen, hidhir, chia, yanzhu, joel & i went for brunch at NYNY and ate like over a hundred bucks! advanced celebration for the gold i guess. hahaha. then went back to vch just in time for the announcement of results!

just two years back, we took part in the 1st national band competition but at that time, we were actually part of the band playing. today, we became spectators already. and the feeling's actually quite different. albeit we're no longer in that bright blue band uniform, i am still damn damn damn happy that st nicks got a gold! and i love that band cheer of ours. :D

blood donation on wednesday turned out to be quite interesting eh! they gave us this cute sticker which says something like "THIS IS MY FIRST TIME DONATING BLOOD, PLEASE BE NICE TO ME!" :D
its not painful actually, too bad chewps didnt think that way. haha.

and then yesterday was a super unlucky day for me. first i cut my second finger on my right hand while having our weekly dose of mango madness, then i sprained my fourth finger on my left hand while playing games during guitar farewell. tough luck man. this is like my first time having a sprain and i didnt even know it was a sprain until it started swelling. haha.

IHG volleyball for girls ended today. could only watch, but didnt get to play because of my stupid finger. :( joined szechuan's pw group for a while, lunch at amk and went for piano without even playing. we just sat down and listened to classical pieces. haha. now i cant play the piano for two weeks, plus another two weeks away in cambridge, my piano exam is gone case already. :/

and chewps complained that im damn kuku today. well, i think so too. keep saying the wrong things today & offending the wrong people. :/

-my camera died a few days ago, all camwhoring ceased since then, and then my phone decided to go on strike today too :(

oh yes, midyears are over!! quite fast actually, lasted for three days only. as compared to the few weeks back in secondary school. lol. out of the five papers, i think geog paper sucked the most lah. i spent most of the time counting the number of trains that passed during the two hours plus while everyone else was busy scribbling on their scripts. :/ i dont get why we must do a contrasting subject lah, bet the score will be super contrasting as well. EEYER. its not that i hate geog though, i like the things we learn, but i just don't like studying for the test. who does anyway? haha. but now my hopes of getting a new laptop are completely dashed, not even anywhere near it i bet. :(

went back to school for 5 hours of PW today, whereas almost everyone else had a day off lah. :( but school ended quite early so i went to cine with eric & kaikeng and we did some shopping and caught a movie after that! oh gosh, zohan is seriously very hilarious, in a sexual way. hahaha. :/

and now that midyears are over, everyone's busy chionging PW and tutorials already, but not me! i still cant really be bothered to start lah. shit. still in the holiday cum post exam mood.

why is it things always don't turn out as planned. its as if i shouldn't even put in anymore effort. but i really tried my best already. i'm super sick of all these disappointment, yet more and more pile up and never ever go away. people usually learn to stand up after they fall, but for me, i'm just falling deeper and deeper. i feel as though i have been taken for granted. i can't stand this totally unfair treatment that i don't deserve at all. i'm sorry, but i can't be perfect. in fact, i think i probably have more flaws than anyone else in this world. i can never be good enough. but i havent gave up, and i hope you wont give up on me too. i hate to go to sleep because overnight, things can really take on a drastic change. we can be friends today, but enemies tomorrow. backstabbing sucks, yet some people remain so nonchalent about it. seriously, i cant figure out how exactly is the world functioning. everything seems so superficial. its not that i don't care, but i choose to ignore. because getting myself involved will do me no good except hurt myself even more. and there's no use telling anyone because no one will truly understand. at times like this i wished i could just be a guy, an ignorant & insensitive one, so i can pretend that i don't really care about all these shit anymore. :(

went to enid's house on tuesday! i feel quite bad not being able to spend time with simin during her short winter break, all because of stupid CTs! :( but it was really fun cooking again at enid's house! feels like deja vu, almost the same thing happened last year after prelims! man, i really miss being in sec four. even studying for O's is not as tough as this. haha.

studied at amk library for three days consecutively with yanzhu! every morning 10am sharp, visiting the cafe everyday trying different food & drinks and spending our entire allowance there. haha. so i have been doing nothing else but spending 15 hours studying for these 3 days! managed to revise quite a bit, but there's still a lot not covered. and exams are in two days! die already. :(

i'm seriously looking forward to the end of midyears. got some great plans coming up! so exciting! hahaha.

oh & i just took a risk of being boxed by chewpin on tuesday because i just posted lyrics again! LOL.

back from famine camp! supposed to starve for 30 hours but dumb dumb chewpin and i were on the phone till 4am the night before, then the both of us woke up super late and didnt have time to eat anything before the camp so in the end we starved for 45 hours instead! :/

they split us up according to schools, so me & chewps were in the same group luckily! went for the One Life Experience thing and both of us were tested HIV positive! haha. then we went for some civilisation game which was not exactly fantastic but quite meaningful i guess.
the first night was quite a torture for me, because our stomaches kept making weird out-of-tune noises, and then i had to sleep on the hard ground because gay didnt turn up for the camp and she didnt bring the sleeping bag for me, so eventually i didnt even get to sleep, just tossed and turned around, (got kicked by chewps at 3am in the morning) & messaged many different people throughout the night until chewps woke up & i koped her sleeping bag for 1 hour. :(

somehow my stomach stopped making noises by the second day, i guess it was too tired to even protest. haha. set off to tampines to collect old newspapers and clothes. it was supposed to last from 9am-2pm but our group was super efficient and we completed all the allocated blocks even before 12noon so we had lots of free time left. in the end, the entire group collapsed and slept at the void deck, even the facilitator! lol. then back at school we had an extra hour to spare and we used it to sleep too! after cleaning up, which our group was super efficient as usual, we were 2 hours ahead of schedule so once again we slept. so all in all i gathered my sleep by all these short breaks we had. hahaha. and perhaps thats the thing about our school, super efficient but no life at all? instead of playing games like what other groups did, we just keep sleeping. i bet if we had books with us, we will just end up mugging. LOL.

camp ended with a concert with performances by By Definition and many more, it was quite cool but my stupid head was throbbing together with the drum beats. haha. :/ broke fast at 8pm finally, they actually promised us a good meal but it was like any other, cai fan. in the end i went for prata with mummy and stuffed myself with lots of fruits at home. haha. so actually its STARVE vs. STUFF :/

oh my, now we're only left with one week of holidays. there's still so many things not done! i have yet to meet up with alot alot of people. & i have lots of revision to catch up with as well. lastly, not forgetting to catch the GSS! :D
